Shiba Inu Print

This work is one of the earliest pieces from the Pawtastic collection.

Sixteen individual paw portraits form a colour-intensive composition of repetition, variation and personal trace.

Each individual imprint comes from a Shiba Inu and preserves its own form, structure and irregularities. Through the use of different colours, the perception of the imprints shifts: individual personal traces become a lively visual rhythm in which individuality and repetition come together.

As one of the early works from Pawtastic, the piece already expresses a central idea of the series: a trace left behind remains personal and unmistakable, while at the same time being able to detach itself from its original meaning and develop into an autonomous visual expression.
